Just got a high refresh rate monitor (PG248QP) and it makes a high pitched noise when I set it to 500hz. Anyone else have this problem with this or other high refresh rate monitors?
It wasn't set but it showed up as available when setting a frequency from the os. I just assumed it was an overclock since it uniquely made a noticeable noise and iirc the monitor was listed as 144hz when it was first listed pre launch
might be a faulty psu or something.
better get it replaced.
i never had a >60hz monitor, so talk that with a grain of salt. but this doesn't sound (badum, tss...) right. better get in touch with the seller rather sooner than later.
Could it be a cooling fan inside the panel? My lg oled monitor has one. Maybe it runs higher when the monitor is set to higher hz since maybe that geberates more heat? Just a guess
