Pelosi sandwiched her comments between praise for Biden and his record. But Pelosi is notably careful and calculating in her public comments and well aware that Biden has repeatedly and forcefully said he has already made that decision. I tolerated joe "nothing will fundamentally change" biden for 1 term, and expected him to step aside and (my words) "show the world what a vibrant 2024 d(D)emocratic process looks like for a nominee that makes the choice between between Republicans and Democrats as clear and night and day - after all, the stakes for america and the world could not be greater, right?!"
