Will I really lose all the points I earned on Playstation Stars at the end of the year?

So I hear that Playstation Stars will be shutting down at the end of 2024 which sucked because it was like the one thing that at least felt like I could make free money through PlayStation. So does this really mean I'll lose any coins I make?

So people actually care about PlayStation Stars?

  But 5k points is a $20 gift card and the sometimes have better offers for specific games.
- It's a way to get free money. It was a nice thing that Playstation caught up with letting people make free money kinda like Steam trading cards.
Stars is not shutting down, the old rewards system that Stars replaced is.
- So I don't have to worry about losing my coins?
