Exclusive: Google-backed software developer GitLab explores sale

GitLab has such a strong work from home culture that I wish more companies would adopt, I hope they don't lose that if they're sold.
- They're also very open and transparent. Work, guidelines, workflows, etc.
  It's a shining example of an alternative kind of company, and it's insightful and a great resource of information.

I'm surprised Datadog is that much of a money maker to be able to afford GitLab
- I'm not, really. They're one of our largest operating expenses and we're trying to work on reducing our log output to reduce the cost.
  For what they do I'm not aware of any players in the space that come anywhere close, though.
