Luis Suárez near Inter Miami deal, seeks Grêmio exit
Inter Miami CF is trying to sign ex-Barcelona striker Luis Suárez, but Suárez and his current club, Brazilian side Grêmio, cannot agree on an exit fee, sources told ESPN.
This could never end poorly for Miami. Just keep buying way past prime players for a ton of money like the Saudis.

The way I see MLS there are 3 goals:
-
Develop great young players who eventually end up in top flight European leagues
-
Bring in retiring talent from top flight leagues to help develop young players
-
Work to make the divide between 1 & 2 as close as possible
(4 Overlap 1 & 2) (5 Become a top flight league)

ELI5 which loopholes are they employing to allow for this?
4 0 ReplyEach MLS team gets 3 "Designated Player" slots where the salary cap doesn't apply, so he could get one of them along with Messi and Busquets.
2 0 ReplyDid they drop all their DPs? Weren't they in trouble last year for having 4 DPs or something?

He's been amazing for Grêmio, but his physical issues are worrying. Every time I watch him play he's in pain and I'm afraid he's gonna get badly injured.
