Being transgender and the gender ideology in general.
It's already starting, but in 20 years it'll be viewed the same way we view the way mentally ill people were treated in mental asylums 50 years ago. It was done with good intentions in mind, but the results were horrific and wrong.
I mean unless someone is living under a rock, one can easily see the massive backlash against the movement and ideology that's going right now throughout the west as pretty good evidence of that. I know you're going to try to defend it, and I don't really care tbh. I'm just pointing out that in a couple of decades this fad is going to be pushed into obscurity and it'll be remembered as a sad and unfortunate thing that was propelled by good intentions, for the most part. Similar to how we view treatment of the mentally ill in mental asylums or the forced assimilation of Native Americans in North America.
Your examples are just bad, because those things weren't done with good intentions.
Also every transperson (at least everyone I know) was actually happy after social and physical transition. And I highly doubt, that people with autism were happier than before when locked into a mental asylum.
Only because some conservative idiots with no psycological expertise think being trans is bad, doesn't mean that people shouldn't be able to transition.
Also what else would you suggest to do if someone feels terrible in their social gender role?
