Joking, I'd love to have this functionality on the web as well, Summit, Voyager and Connect for Lemmy already have it!
Yes! You can use Voyager through m.lemmy.world. Then go to Settings and add it to your home screen. The desktop version does not support mark read on scroll yet.
I have tried Voyager in desktop as well, but I'm not a fan of the look and functionality, I'm glad we can have it there though.
