My DVDs, or at least 99% of them, were all catalogued in DVDProfiler which I checked on the other day and is still going strong. I have a bookmark somewhere where you can access my list via a web page.
All my Blu-rays and 4Ks are catalogued in the Blu-ray.com app. That's been pretty handy as it's stopped my double dipping by accident a few times.
Yea, that's a bonus. I am still unpacking from my move and so I am sometimes not 100% what I've got. Any duplicates will just have to go back on eBay.
Is there any advantage to having DVDs in one place and Blu-rays in another? I've added some DVDs to Blu-ray.com (despite it's name).
Also reminds me I should check to see if there's any progress on a Fediverse IMDb, as adding films watched and owned (as you can elsewhere) would be a handy feature.
To be honest, I barely watch any of my DVDs now, especially as most of them are region one and I no longer have a region-free player. I do have an external laptop drive set to region one, so if I really want to, I can rip the disk to a file.
Most of my favourite stuff has been upgraded to Blu-ray anyway or if need be a streaming service. Although, just sometimes, I browse through my DVDs to remind myself what I have and if there's anything I'd like to watch again.
I had just been using a list on IMDb but it was cutting the mustard. So I have switched over to the My Movies app as it's from Blu-ray.com so plugs into their extensive database (and you can also use their site.
However, the big cataloguing has yet to happen and I don't want to go to all the effort if there are better options.
