August 29, 2024 - UNC @ Minnesota, NDSU @ Colorado, and others

Since the active users on Lemmy is kind of low right now, I'm just posting this one game thread for all of today's matchups. I will mostly be commenting on the only P4 v P4 matchup: North Carolina @ Minnesota, but feel free to comment on any games going on (I will be flipping through them anyway).

WHAT?! CU went for it on 4th on their own 35? Lol
- And even though the deep passing game seems to be the one place where they clearly outclass NDSU, they just plow it into the line over and over again.
- I missed the game live, but my brother's short assessment after the game was "Colorado coaching with emotion, and not the good kind". Sums it up pretty well now that I've had the chance to watch some clips.

I like to think I'm fairly knowledgeable about FCS schools, but had to look up Lindenwood... they were D2 only 2 years ago. I would expect a beatdown by KU, but I think they'll keep the playbook pretty closed

I'm working but occasionally checking in on the NCst game, I like the way this looks...
- I have no idea what's going on there. I wouldn't be that surprised if NDSU pulls off an FCS upset, but I wasn't expecting this from W. Carolina

Totally wild INT that was nearly a pick-six in the Minnesota-UNC game! (I like both teams, so I just enjoy seeing any cool plays in this one)
- Man, and now we’re already out a QB, I hate that for him and his family.

The tip off the calf of the downed defender to result in the end zone INT for NDSU was beautiful. That is what CFB is all about

- Their defense is not looking much improved so far...
- Looks like Bison > Buffalo... for now.

Refs have just decided that Travis Hunter can push off all night, I guess. Still, they're gonna get their points. NDSU needs to get back to bullying that soft CU defensive front.
