Scientists are getting very close to bringing a few iconic species, like woolly mammoths and dodos, back from extinction. That may not be a good thing.
Some time ago someone asked what one would do with unlimited secret science funds. My suggestion was to clone a complete herd of mammoths and drop them in some remote corner of a national park, just to confuse everyone how they must have overlooked them all the time...
