I just realized that this weeks SNL is going to be can't miss TV.
With everything coming out of the debate, this is like being thrown a softball. I'm almost certain that it won't even live up to my expectations, because honestly....how could it???
How do you make a comedy show based on real life, which in itself has become a comedy show?
I'm sure they'll knock it out of the park though.
There isn't a new SNL episode this week. It doesn't return for season 50 until September 28th.
..........well god dammit. I haven't seen SNL for years, and the ONE TIME I want to watch, it's on break!
Although I did see a youtube compilation of weekend update where the white guy and the black guy write each others jokes, and try to embarass each other. That's good stuff.
My hope is that, when the show comes on in a few weeks, they don't even parody Trump. The actor who plays him reads his statements verbatim, because he's so far beyond parody.
Before you get all excited, the new season doesn't start until 9/28.

I'm sure they'll be making the same handful of jokes they've been making since 2016. SNL is truly played out by now
