Best ever made means slightly better than the previous one. It doesn’t mean it’s at good deal at all. My union (IATSE) got the best deal ever made and it doesn’t even adjusts for inflation!!!
Does Netflix, Hulu and all the streaming sites need to negotiate? Are they involved in this on the side of the studios?
I suspect this is occurring because everyone knows establishment media is dying and people are trying to get the nicest deck chair on the titanic.
It’s happening because inflation happens and things increase in price. If wages don’t keep pace, that raise is now a pay cut.
