Driving in circles?
- Competitive driving in circles.
  
  It’s not my thing, but competitive driving in circles at a consistent 180-200mph (290-320kph) with a certain tolerance for bumping. That’s a non-trivial motor sport.

Its just going around a roundabout a whole lot

My American mind can't either...f1, WEC, WRC all make sense to me and I love them but Nascar and even indycar to an extent I just don't vibe with.

it's not the sport i mind, it's the tautological "car auto" part of its acronym.
