This is legit the most fun I have ever had on an election night! And I didn't even for him. But I didn't vote for Harris either. :)
I got so many bans for not bowing down to the Harris-worship, and then there were all the people saying I was interfering with the election, that I was a bot, that I was russian, blah blah blah.
But it sure looks like a LOT more people are voting for Trump than anyone thought. And it had nothing to do with me!
As of now, it could still swing her way, but it's not the landslide that some people thought (including me!) lmao
Looks like the Democrats (and Lemmy users) didn’t have much luck with the tactic of labeling anyone who didn’t openly support Harris as Nazis, racists, or privileged. Oops.
Yeah, I was suprised that Lemmy, which touted itself as such a great alternative to Reddit, was so hateful in its bias.
Sure, some bias is exptected, but the hate and vitriol I received here just because I didn't vote for Harris was crazy. Banned from instances, lied about, followed around by a downvote brigade, people posting stats about me. Like full-on batshit crazy people here.
But I like Lemmy and love the idea of the fediverse. And I hope the hateful bullies here do some soul-searching after tonight's election. Because their hate made me more anti-democrat than I ever was before!
And their bullying didn't make me leave Lemmy. I'm here to stay. :)
I actually am. You all worshiped the Duopoly soooo much, that you became blind to what was really going on. I didn't vote for him, but I sure as hell didn't vote for Harris.
I didn't support the duopoly. You all did.
The democrats didn't lose because of Trump (or people like me), you all lost because of your entitlement and blindness. The democratic party needs to do a LOT of soulsearching today.
The amount of hate I received on Lemmy, just because I chose not to vote for Harris was insane. And way worse than anything the Republicans ever said.
Lemmy is irrelevent and has zero influence. Both Lemmy and Mastodon is run by cult leaders. If the platforms actually want any influence, or to at least be something more than a dumping grouping or a platform to mock, they must protecting offensive words.
It's clear that the LemmyMastodon admins cannot live in the real world and have no functioning social skills when they are out in public, so they depend on nonexistant cyberspace to save them from mean words and save them from people who disagree with what they believe.
Dude, it's crazy. I legit got banned from .midwest instance and the reason listed was "conservative." And what's hilarious about that is that I'm a socialist!
But because I didn't worship Harris, I was banned from that and other instances. Fucking hilarious that this is happening right now! lol
