Maybe Google has some unneeded employees they need to layoff. What even is this abomination?!

This is how it was, and should remain.
For power users, they can continue to swipe up/down (from 2019) on the circular profile picture to quickly switch accounts. Fullscreen Google Account switcher

Why not start with the only Android app that doesn't have an account switcher (Chrome)?
