Water
Water
Water
I hate when my brain sees "hmm we're low on water and food, what shall I do?"
and instead of making me hungry and thirsty it just goes "I know! I'm going to activate the 'pain-o-matic 9000!'" and gives me a headache
I have this little habit I programmed in my brain
When I feel irritated, anxious, or uncomfortable, I go through a checklist.
Is there a direct reason I'm feeling this emotion? If yes, continue. Otherwise...
Do I feel hot? Am I thirsty? Am I too cold? Is there a bad/annoying smell? Have I been sitting still too long?Am I sick, or sleep terribly? Is my brain chemistry just off today?
Usually I get up and walk, and occasionally I remember to actually get some water or turn on a fan... But more often than not, I'm just too hot and my brain didn't bother to tell me
oh my God, the number of times I've been really pissed off for no reason only to realize it's because the shitty baseboard heater suddenly decided to crank the fuck out of itself and I'm just melting fuckin hot after getting up and feeling that my back is wet...
why does my body suck at noticing that sometimes?
Isn't that a sign of low blood sugar?
probably? I just googled it and that seems correct, I also match the other symptoms like being dizzy too, but I assumed that was because of iron in my blood or something because my sister gets that. I usually don't eat food until like 4PM on days that I have school which is most likely the issue 😅
I will probably have to start eating breakfast now and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for telling me, I'm excited to see if it makes a difference 🤗
Dehydration, hypoglycemia, caffeine withdrawal, stress, exhaustion, and so many other causes.
Body: I need water.
Me: Every pizza is a personal pizza if you believe in yourself.
Everyone is saying water but there is a feeling that most people seem to not recognize. Needing electrolytes is distinct from hungry or thirsty but just as important. If you crave a salty food that might be what you need. I figured it out by hiking and getting that feeling.
Doesn't happen to me. I usually crave some food category (like fish for example) and that's what i needed.
If you pretty frequently crave fish, you should probably take a vitamin D supplement.
Basically your body knows that fish oil is rich in vitamin D.
I listened to a lecturer about some research on nutrition from early 20th century and one had kids who were freely offereda wide diet, so they could take whatever they happened to crave for. Some might grab a handul of salt and put it in their mouths but then that would be enough, probably spitting half away at least. Then they continue with fruit and water or something.
One kid had rickets and while the others kids never touched fish oil, this kid craved it and took healthy glugs. For like a few weeks or months I don't remember, then he got cured of the rickets and never wanted fishoil again.
Wanting snacks is like the most basic, it's just basically your body yelling "brainfuel (glucose), now", and that varies way more throughout the day than say deficiencies in micronutrients like vitamin D.
Also the kids never ate like too much salt despite grabbing it by the hand. It was early 20th century but they tested sodium level and whatnot imo.
So yeah eat some vitamin D bro. I take 50ug a day as I live pretty far up North.
90% of the time it’s water
If you find what you were looking for was fish sticks and custard, then you may be a Time Lord!
Or a gay fish
Reminds me of this classic ....
