Carter, who lived longer than any other U.S. president, entered home hospice care in Plains, Georgia in February 2023 after a series of short hospital stays.
Well shit, I type from my Habitat for Humanity home. No other President has so changed my life, no other likely will. I'd still be throwing money at rent if not for the opportunity to buy a house. I'll have it paid off by this time next year.

Carter was the first President I remember. He didn't deserve the way we treated him in office.
An amazing man and no one can touch his willingness to help others.
