Pound falls further as UK borrowing costs soar

Economists have warned the rise could mean further tax hikes or spending cuts by the government.

Angers me so much that we didn't make use of cheap borrowing while rates were so low.
- Oh we did. Just not to spend on improving the country or infrastructure ☺️.
  Lots of people got lots of rich.

It's still worth more than the Euro, so all is good, right?
- The absolute value doesn't matter, only the movement does. A pound is worth more than a US dollar too but that doesn't mean anything in particular.
