Is this the same founder of brew dog whose female staff are told never to be in a room alone with him? Or is that the other one?
Bonfire Of The Regulanities
AmaIng how our dea government is never worried about pedons' cell phones hmmm

What the fuck have I just read?
While she may represent a different political party, Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves may be going head to head with the Daily Star's trusty lettuce just like former Prime Minister Liz Truss did
Huge apologies, it's the Star. But who doesn't love a bit of salad tossing in the morning?
I think most reasonable people that follow these things don't think there is a special relationship. They know full well where the balance of power lies and how much of a shit USA gives about the UK (or anyone for that matter).
Not even Ireland has a special relationship with the US, and that would be the closest country I can think of that might be able to claim such a relationship. With their history, and currently a self avowed Irish American president in charge. The US has only one special relationship and that's with itself. Always has been and always will be.
I agree on paper. But we've seen many time before "legally responsible" isn't really a deterrent for some people in society. If there's money to be made, made it will be!
All I'm saying is that if they suddenly approve the listing after the chancellor returns despite the lack of transparency I will not be surprised in the slightest.
It will be interesting to see if the Chancellor returns back from her trip to China and whispers in the stock exhanche's ear to allow the listing.
I thought the ban was a threat. What they really want is the success of Tiktok to be owned by the US. That's why they were happy at one point if Tiktok sold to a US company.
Made in the USA.... or taken by force.
Well I was convinced he was from Somerset 😂. Oooaaarr.
Varun Chandra still holds majority of his previous stake in the group despite joining Downing Street in July

When you're on those tarrifs you usually try and avoid any electricity usage between 1630 - 1900 and rely on your battery storage (if you have it) which would have been charged at a cheaper rate.
But if you don't follow those guidelines then, yeah, you're fucked.
As PM she was the First Lord Of The Treasury (amongst the many other titles she got as a PM: Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm) so how is she not responsible for the economy?
Yes that will do
Oh we did. Just not to spend on improving the country or infrastructure ☺️.
Lots of people got lots of rich.
You calling Kier Starmer a "far left ideologue"? I wish he had that much conviction.
😆 Hahaha. Not everyone in that Labour era, no. But a large majority of them.
I think the truth is a bit more boring. FPTP hugely favours the 2 established parties and, whilst their foundations are certainly eroding, it'll take something seismic to actually bring a third party into power
I agree with you. But also... we always say this. _There's nothing we can do because FPTP, oh well". Surely leaving the European Union was seismic enough to get us off our arses and vote for a third option? But apparently not. What else is seismic enough? Climate change? Nah more Labour Tory please. Economic austerity? Nope not interested yet.
As much as I hate FPTP at some point we have to admit that the majority of people don't hate it (enough) or give a shit (enough) to change anything. We want this life.
Don't fine him directly. Fine doing business with his company interests to starve him of income. Like the modern slavery laws. It's useless going after the slavers but if caught using people that have been trafficked then your company gets a hefty fine and make it expensive to show that you comply. Something like that but for advertising on sites that intentionally spread misinformation and do little to nothing to prevent it (i.e. Twitter).
I genuinely can't believe what is happening. What timeline are we living in?
Maybe it's time we designated Musk as a terrorist?
Thirdly, which leading politician has enough balls to say it out loud that the UK must rejoin as soon as possible?
The Lib Dems and the Greens and the SNP. But we were too busy "never trusting the Lib Dems" because they made us pay for our university education and magic Grandpa was kinda exciting around that time.
So instead of voting in a stronger pro EU opposition that could have actually opposed this in parliament, we elected a bunch of far left idealogues that wanted to leave as much as right wingers.
C'est la vie 🤗.
Like... and hear me out.... save the preference with some sort of Cookie technology? Do you think the EU would be up for that?
He will be replaced by Republican Joel Kaplan, a former White House deputy chief of staff under President Bush.
Wasn't sure if this counted as UK politics given his previous job. Decided Clegg Is best left out of politics for the foreseeable.
While the UK's decision to leave the EU is helpful in terms of damage limitation from any US tariffs, forecasts of a small impact are mainly down to the fact that two thirds of our exports there are in services and not goods.
Now this is a slippery slope I can get behind. Now you just need to convince your Northern voters.
Questions are being raised about whether Henry Tufnell knew about farming inheritance tax changes.
The Scott Trust, which owns The Guardian, will become one of the largest shareholders in the six-year-old start-up, a deal first-reported by Sky News.
Forty-eight-hour strike, first at Guardian in more than 50 years, to take place on Wednesday and Thursday
All those latent Tories wishing they'd voted Labour sooner 😅.

Rises in gilt yields and falls in sterling are still far shy of what took place in the run up and aftermath of the notorious 2022 mini-budget. However, the reaction from markets to the chancellor's big debut is still pretty awful.
Neil O'Brien's ideas include big fines for playing music on transport and a crackdown on spitting.
> His list of proposals include: > > * Action to stop e-bikes and scooters being ridden on pavements > * An end to 'street scars', where gaps in street paving are replaced with tarmac > * A "galvanising" national goal to reduce the amount of litter > * Councils to sort dumping of fridges, mattresses and broken cars > * Action to stop phone boxes and street furniture being covered in graffiti
What a bastard /s.
Since December, the Royal Air Force is said to have flown hundreds of missions over and near Gaza in the search for hostages taken by Hamas.
Government debt will rise through the 2020s, surpassing GDP and putting the UK at risk of an "adverse market reaction", the IMF warned.
What these institutions like the IMF don't understand is that countries aren't like households and we can just continue to borrow and increase our debt.... or something 😅
Sky News earlier revealed that the planned investment was under review and that Dubai-owned DP World's chairman, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, had cancelled plans to attend a London investment summit following criticism by government minister Louise Haigh.
That must have been some frantic back pedalling by the government to win back that billion £ investment.
Dubai-based company DP World decides to review its plans following criticism by members of Sir Keir Starmer's cabinet about its subsidiary P&O Ferries.
I suppose we can just tax them more? Right?
The slight rise in gross domestic product comes after two successive months of stagnation. However, officials said the "broader picture" was one of slowing growth in recent months, compared to the first half of the year.
