The response to Dustborn has been so revealing

Lots of reviewers shitting on it saying "I don't hate it because it's political, I hate it because it's a bad game!"

Meanwhile all their top-voted comments are pushing DEI conspiracy theory and Great Replacement bullshit

FWIW I have no desire to play the game myself, but anyone who has a comments section full of that shit and doesn't think long and hard about what kind of audience they've cultivated is a Nazi in all but name

It's a pretty good game and the developer continues to update it to make it even better. There's now a roadmap too.

I haven't played this game before just seen some of the conservatives (fascists) seethe about it. Is it really true that one of the lines from a song in the game is: "we are the new born, we are the new porn" or sthing like that? What does that even mean? I'm really confused.
- The main characters are going undercover as a band on tour, but none of them are very musically-inclined; the fact that their songs and overall performance are cringy and paper-thin seems to be part of the plot, though I'm not very far into the game.

It's another game these chuds aren't going to play.
Part of the anger towards Concord was resources put towards Concord could have gone to something else.
This is a small game by a small studio. Chuds can just not play it just like they don't play every other game.

OK Im somewhat intrigued. Has anyone actually played it for a bit and can say more about it ? (since lots of reviews are gonna be by chuds and therefore worthless)

I've played it for a few hours and it's great! The only reasons I haven't returned to it are my current focus on MMORPGs and my love of Daggerfall.

- It's cognate with SJW, woke and so may other signifiers used by the far-right to mark the same Nazi dog whistle that there exists a dangerous Other trying to weaken and pervert the white cis-heteronormative patriarchal world order and take its rightful throne. If you find yourself in community with people who espouse that bullshit and are comfortable there you are absolutely a Nazi. You may be too dumb to know it yet, but I would fully expect you to goosestep right along when push comes to shove.
  
  That's pretty far past the point of not being a fan of DEI though..
  I'm danish and we have DEI too but plenty of regular people that aren't racists or nazis at all doesn't like it.
  It's not that they're against the idea of being inclusive, it's the way it's implemented that they don't like..
  I hate this "dog whistle" term. It's a cop out to just ignore people you don't agree with and never engage in actual discussions..
  Just look at my comment for example. I literally asked "Does not liking DEI equal being a nazi now? " and that was deleted. I can only imagine it was deleted for being a "dog whistle", because to me it's a fair question to ask..
- Duh. Hating initiatives to level the playing field for oppressed and marginalized groups clearly means you’re in favor of keeping them oppressed and marginalized. It means you’re a bigot
  
  Maybe they don't like they way it's implemented or maybe they believe it won't actually level the playing field at all..
  Obviously there are people out there who are racist but do you think an initiative like DEI will change anything about that? All it does is annoy regular people with "education" to not be racist.. Yeah we know, that's how most of us have been operating..
  Stop assuming the worst of every one you don't agree with. You'll get nowhere like that. Unfortunately pretty much everyone in the US seems to be doing that.
