Citing law enforcement services, Tass labelled the blast an “assassination attempt” and reported that Armen Sarkisyan had died after being hospitalised in critical condition.
Um, that’s a bit more than an “attempt,” y’know.
As attacks like this coupled with the now seemingly daily Ukrainian drone attacks targeting Russian oil infrastructure mount, I really have to marvel at what an own goal the invasion back in 2022 was.
Those assassinations have been going on long before 2022. Maybe Russia taught it was going to end fast. With Zelensky suspending the elections in Ukraine last year, there is no chance of peace and the war will drag indefinitely. I bet if there were elections most people would choose a pro Russia government just to end the war.
