I really hate Politico's playbook. What a fucking pain in the ass that mass of text always is!

"...The White House and House Republicans will continue to build support within the party for making deep cuts to the program,” Ben Leonard and Adam Cancryn report. Working with the administration, “the House Energy and Commerce Committee was already on track to slash hundreds of billions of dollars from programs within the panel’s purview to offset the budget reconciliation effort, much of it coming from Medicaid.”

  • Boomers are the sticking the log in the bike wheel meme with this shit. They voted for Drumpf and now he's going to gut their medicaid.

    • I’d say most of the boomers are on Medicare. Cutting Medicaid is more like direct punishment of the poor/disabled. Though Medicaid programs also help a lot people who qualify for Medicare but can’t afford it.

    • Soon enough Facebook is going to be a sea of misery and that will continue for foreseeable future.

      I know you can never underestimate the intelligence of the average American but - holy fuck - non rich-boomers really shot themselves in the dick over and over and over to own the libs. I expect media outlets like CNBC will have articles with titles that are straight up dystopian like "How to make the most of your post-retirement age working life". And "Loving life and your job!" and the text tries to put a positive spin on never retiring.
