A forum... moves to a chat app? A proprietary one too? They're practically begging to be censored just like on reddit.
Going from one closed and centralized anti free speech service owned by a malicious corporation to another closed and centralized anti free-speech service owned by a malicious corporation.
The amount of copium needed for doing that must be insane! Or they don’t really want free speech and independence at all.
Well, that's both good and bad.
Bad, because discord is just a stone's throw away from doing the same kind of fuckery.
But good because the subject is important, the community is important, and it needs to be active.
But, bad, because places like the armed gay agenda, !armedqweers@lemmy.blahaj.zone exist here on lemmy, and there's a strong presence of trans people that are willing to be armed and ready here.
Fwiw, anyone running across this that's thinking about getting armed, but don't have the knowledge base to move in that direction, don't hesitate to holla at me. I'm no expert (though I am a damn good shot), but I'll do what I can.
Also, there's multiple gun communities on lemmy. Iirc, !guns@lemmy.world and !guns@lemmy.ml are the two most active, but !guns@lemmy.ee is there if those instances aren't to your liking

Trump will continue trying to prosecute trans individuals and trans supporters with the force of law. Discord is not going to stick their neck out for you. They do not care about you. They're selling all of your information to AI companies to target you.
