These contests are full of ideology, so a trans person has a significant advantage over the others. There aren’t enough heartwarming and sob stories in the world to compensate for that.
On the other hand, I don’t really care if those kind of competitions are unfair. If they help trans people convey a message, that’s probably the best thing that can come out of them.

If I were to magically change your body into a woman's (I assume you're a man but swap the genders if not), would you then think of yourself as a woman? Of course not! You'd feel a man in a woman's body. How's that so hard to understand?

Some people have gender dysphoria and that is sad and we should help them, but that doesn't mean we should pretend that there is some magical essence of the "true" personality.

That's my point. Since they aren't "born in the right body", they aren't biological woman. You can call them trans women, fake women or whatever else, but not women. That word without any sidenote has always been used for biological women
