For real, I loved having the random wallpapers. I don't know much about the situation, but maybe there will be a way to do it through a third party app.
They're removing font size control? Seems like an important feature - not all fonts are automatically legible at your desired scaling factor.

They are removing this on Wayland:

And this on both Wayland and Xorg:
Adjustable icon sizes for many icons in many KDE apps in System Settings > Appearance > Icons
