More Americans Rode a Bike Than Ever Before in 2024, Youth Participation Saw the Biggest Surge
This isn't a movement though. This is poverty.
Probably also ebikes, they take away a lot of what sucks as a bike commuter, or for recreation.
It shouldn't be seen as poverty, as in some cases biking is more convenient, especially in more urban area where parking is harder to find.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're great too. Bought an electric and found myself barely using my car anymore. So I sold the car. But for a lot of people, a car isn't even an option. Much like owning a home is now a luxury.
often i feel like screaming into the void of the internet is futile and won't ever change anything. but sometimes i see news like that, and it gives me the strenght to keep on yelling together with others, my own voice might not be enough to change anything, but i'm not the one speaking

But the margins on bikes are freaking terrible, this is going to tank the economy!! Kill the bike lanes!! Keep the gasoline micropayments!!
