Hosta is a good one.
1 0 ReplyI never thought of that as an inside plant tbh.
1 0 ReplyMonsteria deliciosa is pretty decent too
1 0 ReplyGetting one to produce fruit indoors would be quite a feat.
1 0 ReplyWow, I had no idea they had fruit! Looks like a giant pinecone cucumber.
1 0 ReplyWhaaat, I have a decently-sized monstera at home and I didn't know this either! I'm going to see if I can convince it to fruit !
2 0 ReplyI’ve had some for years and didn’t even know they could flower or fruit, kind of sad :(
1 0 ReplyFrom what I have gathered, they need to experience sustained hot and humid tropical-like weather to be convinced to flower... So it can be tricky!

They can only be eaten as the sections ripen and fall off. They may also need prolonged cooking due to calcium oxalate, like taro.
1 0 ReplyWhat? What parts are you eating? I've eaten the fruit, raw, and nobody ever told me it needed cooking
1 0 ReplyThe fruit on mine are high in calcium oxalate, it's painfull to eat raw.
EDIT: I have since found that mine may be a Philodendron.
