In Japan, the image of the butterfly has inspired the artists for hundreds of years. It is always associated with the best moments in life. Here, traditional celebrations and marches begin with “the dance of the butterfly.” Butterflies also accompany wedding ceremonies in Japan. But not all know that butterflies are the amazing and courageous travelers. In favorable winds Monarch butterflies from North America can cross the Atlantic to reach England, resting as needed on the decks of ships.

Vladmir Kush paintings are so unfathomably creative.
I remember being on vacation with my family in Hawaii and walking into an art gallery and was blown away by his work. All I could afford to buy was a book but his work is breathtaking.
Too bad the Monarch is endanged. One day this art will be more of a fantasy than it already is.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been collecting all of the wing patterns, but those are Vivillon… Which is weird because the painting predates Pokémon X and Y by 13 years…
