What the fuck kind of tip is this? Why Thanksgiving? And people in service jobs get told to work holidays or fuck off all the time.
Is it supposed to be funny like, "don't work on Thanksgiving, work every other day"?
There's also no shame in working holidays. Some places are going to be open. Some jobs don't or can't stop. And some people don't care for the holidays. You got no family or a shitty family you're not gonna spend time with? You got an important job like direct care or power plant maintenance or something? Get holiday pay and the good will of your coworkers by volunteering for a holiday shift. I did it all the time when I worked for a direct care non-profit.
