Harvard researchers say they might have to lay off workers and euthanize research animals due to funding freeze

More seriously, this fuckin’ sucks, but honestly this is the happiest I’ve been with Harvard’s conduct in a while. They didn’t bend the knee, and I respect the fuck out of that.

If the end result of their primates no longer being in a study is euthanization, I'm guessing they weren't going to live full and happy lives after the study ended normally. The argument is not that funding cuts will cause harm to an animal, it's that we abused an animal and now won't even gain a benefit.

They have $53 billion in their endowment. Let's not forget that universities are fucking everyone over.

Happy they stood up to Trump but they can weather more than 4 years.
