I’ve always wanted a tv episode or something that works out like this; a long lead-up of “Why doesn’t he notice she’s interested in him?” ending with the guy finally stating he’s just not interested.

Just depressing, either he is being sarcastic or a jackass
- Imagine how it would be if some random secretary in your workplace would do as she did. Imagine the same with opposite sexes.
  I think the depressing part is to see the own expectations and how these comics are feeding them. He has the right to not like the person and she has no right to touch him without his permission

Either she's his girlfriend and he's just a complete asshole, or she's his girlfriend and he's being a sarcastic jackass(this is the only "good" scenario), or she's a clingy type who calls herself his girlfriend even though he's not into her at all and he's either set boundaries she ignores or he just doesn't really care if she invades his space like that.
No matter what, this comic sucks.
- Yeah, "subverting" basic human love is just depressing
- Maybe their relationship is fueled, in part, by sarcasm and thats just part of their dynamic. By being sarcastic, he's actually demonstrated that his battery has recharged.

  Except, they included his uncharged battery in most frames.
  
  Good take. That’s the only way I can get any wholesomeness out of the comic. Otherwise it just feels awkward and bad!

  I think the implication is that she is his girlfriend and he just wants to break up.
  Which is a bit weird, because look at that t-shirt. She's clearly marriage material.
  
  That was how I read it at first too, but she at least implies that she is his “quirky girlfriend” depending on how you interpret it.

  I mean, the issue is that this is clearly from a webcomic that no one here reads. And web comics typically have huge amounts of lore about their characters and relationships that can't be conveyed in a single image. Maybe it actually is funny, if all of us had read the last 1000 pages of the web comic leading up to this... But we didn't. So we are left with two possible, not mutually exclusive scenarios:
  This comic sucks.
  OP sucks, for posting a comic that requires more context than anyone here has.
  
  Maybe she's a clingy lady who finds him attractive and is overly forward but the feeling isn't mutual.

If Millenial, why Hate Wife-shaped?
- A lot of guys do hate their girlfriends, and view them as sex dispensers and maids.
  Being trans didn’t even help me escape. It really fucking sucks at the end of a 7 year old relationship to finally understand that you were there to make his peepee feel good and clean up after him while he plays vidya. Difficult for me to even believe love exists lol.

  That blows. Being in a relationship has been the hardest experience of my life. I've had to step up in a lot of ways, and so has my SO. But we're both happy together and are in it for the long haul.

  She says “hugged by his quirky girlfriend” which suggests they might be, or at least that’s how she sees the relationship. Could be clearer.

This is a much better looking style than Adam Ellis’s old buzzfeed art style but I don’t know if the joke lands any better.
