  • This will likely continue up to the Supreme Court. Magazines with a capacity larger than 10 are in common use for lawful purposes, meaning this ban fails to meet one of the conditions set in the Heller case.

  • It just seems so pointless.

    Like, okay, I get that you've got to pander to your base, but why not do something that's vaguely useful while you do so?

    The only way a capacity ban would be useful is if they somehow managed to not just ban them in that state, but eliminate them across the entire world, and then hope that nobody figures out how to make them to bypass the ban and destruction.
