Not sure if I missed it in the article, but why would she even chance going into Russian in current political climate? Being a martyr ain’t all it’s cracked up to be

- It said she was arrested while waiting for her passport to be returned. Some of these crap countries hold foreigners’ passports. I got the impression she had been there for a long time and decided it was time to leave. She had to ask for her passport back and that's when they decided to grab her.
  
  It’s chilling because there are no doubt more Americans there whose passports the Russians are holding. Now they have to decide whether to lay low in Russia or risk being arrested on bogus charges if they try to leave. In this case, they came up with this bullshit failure to register as a foreign agent charge because she has a job with an American company. I imagine that’s true for a lot of Americans in Russia.
Are the journalists also CIA agents, or is the org just funded by the CIA?
- I don't think that has been the case for about 50 years now.
