DayZ and ARMA 3 both work. ARMA 2 does not though.
8 0 Replythe ones I've tried yes, it depends on the developers, for example Fortnite is not supported on Linux because they deliberately made it incompatible.
8 0 ReplyDoesn't Fortnite use EAC instead?
1 0 ReplyIt uses both, and switches between the two
3 0 ReplyI can find only mentions of EAC.

Also apex legends and Rust use it, EAC it's not the reason.
1 0 ReplyP1: "They are using malware anti-cheat that does not support Linux"
P2: "No, they choose to not support Linux"
Me: "Aren't they use anti-cheat that do support Linux?"
P2: "It's not the reason"
1 0 Replyfortnite uses or used both, both battleeye and EAC support Linux.

8 2 ReplyI don't think it can be considered malware unless its doing something malicious that you don't expect. I don't want or need it on my system, but people who want to play these multiplayer games have a valid use-case and can make that decision themselves.
Of course, you may have just intended to snarky and I'm just being tedious.
3 0 ReplyIt is literal rootkit, what do you mean nt a malware?
but people who want to play these multiplayer games have a valid use-case and can make that decision themselves.
They can't in most of cases. For them it's either installing or not playing.
