surely Mexico has $10 billion to pay for damages. they've got massive petroleum revenues - just oil alone was in excess of $5 billion in 2022 alone.
why would the US media need to cover Mexico? Mexico has 872 TV stations - why arent they reporting on the crisis? if the coverage isnt being picked up north of the border it may be that no one's really interested.
