Did you all see that SDF Chatter is listed as the first recommended Lemmy instance in this popular Awesome List?
I've been mostly using my vlemmy account the last week, since sdf was buggy. But now sdf is working and vlemmy is down.
It's nice having options
It is quite nice to be part of a smaller instance, especially this one, because there seems to be much less drama.
Also really enjoy the lack of unfunny memes and shitposts here. If you browse by all instances, it feels like it's really hard to find real content behind all the shitposts.

i'm new to this so please excuse me if it's something obvious. the linked page says it doesn't matter which instance i'm registered with, just pick one. i followed this advice and i'm here now. i'm subscribed to a bunch of communities from other instances too. so what difference does it make that i'm at sdf and not somewhere else, where is the lesser drama to be found in all this?
