E-bike user here, have been for a decade now (god, that makes me feel old). Been seeing a lot more of them around even in my sleepy little semirural area. Nice to see.

This is very big in China. A large proportion of its traffic are mopeds, and virtually all of them are electric by now. This is a major contribution to reducing noise in cities, too.

For those hesitant on getting an e-bike, if you live in the US depending on what state your in, a purchase of an e-bike can get a tax credit similar to that of buying an electric car. In the state of Massachusetts you could get a rebate $500-$750 depending on your income.
