Is there a way to upload a video directly to lemmy, I've seen people post external links tho but thats it! :)
You can't, you have to upload it somewhere else and link it here.
Too bad. And so sad. Why can’t it be easier? Whyyyyy??!!!
(Videos are pretty big so hosting them would be too expensive for instance admins sadly
please tell us, where is the "somewhere else?"
imgur isn't even working for me anymore. I think it lets me upload, but I'm not sure because it doesn't let me see anything I've uploaded anymore.
on imgur my preference has always been to upload everything as "hidden" but it doesn't let me see any of my hidden posts anymore. I literally cannot go back and retrieve them in order to copy the link.
I use vgy.me for images and https://catbox.moe/ for everything else.
