Genius.com usually has annotations to explain song lyrics. Usually they're guessing the intent of the artist though. Or are you wanting differing interpretations? I'm not sure if there's anything like that.
Many lesser known songs on Genius have user submitted annotations, often not moderated and funny
Sort of like GoodReads/Erowid but for song lyrics. I want there to be a place where this is dealt with systematically.
Nothing I've found is systematic. It's actually very frustrating. Everything online sense to just be guesswork, I can't find a comprehensive compilation of song meanings defined by firsthand sources.
Fan wikis for specific bands, like https://tmbw.net/ for They Might Be Giants.
I googled "song lyrics interpretation" and got several decent looking results. Was there something specific you're looking for that doesn't exist?
