Was out at the bookshop earlier and then the butchers to collect my ham hock for stock to make my ramen tonight. Just fired it on and I’m about to sit down and fire up Baldurs Gate 3 for the first time.
I’m even considering opening a can of cider for some good old day drinking and then shout at the weans for annoying by expecting me to do stuff like care for their basic needs. The sheer gall of the wee grotbags!
Have spent the day in bed. Read for a few hours. Ate last night's takeaway pizza. Had a nap. Looking forward to more reading before 7 when me and my brothers are jumping on for some late night Videogame action.
Spent the morning running errands, hospital appointment, breakfast with mum now I'm staying indoors for the rest of the day. Currently awaiting a cheeky chinese for lunch.
I did get out and do a bat monitoring session last night - part of the national waterway survey in August each year - without getting wet. There were a few pipistrelles about and a couple of noctules and serotines passing by, but no Daubenton's which is what this particular survey is looking for.
Today will be getting the chores out of the way then - if the rain shows any chance of dying down - out to an open air Shakespeare this evening. It will be 'Exit pursued by a very damp bear.' I expect.
Tomorrow: third attempt to get these shelves up. It has been postponed twice so far.
Another big day of not much. 😆 I've got some Blu-rays I'm taking down to CEX as they've been replaced by 4K editions. I'll trawl through the charity shops as well but I'm not expecting to find anything.
I'm Scotland and I think we're supposed to be avoiding most of it! Let's hope so because we're packing for a couple days of "glamping". Because nothing is quite as glamorous as sleeping in a hut in a field.
