I feel bad for the fans in Arizona, but I think it's time. I also think the NHL will be back at some point. They'll give it another go like in Atlanta, and who knows, maybe they'll be more successful.

Not sure how important this is to most people, but I'm a bit of a jersey nerd and this has a lot of important information regarding the upcoming switch to Fanatics as the official NHL uniform designer.
Retail pricing, a new Pro version that offers a true on-ice feel and more besides. Definitely worth a watch if you're looking at picking up a jersey in the next year or two.
Everton are deducted two points for a second breach of Premier League financial rules.
Second time this season no? And with my Leicester side, and Forest also catching heat it looks like the Premier League is taking this stuff very seriously.
I mean it was called Brainiac and it did have John Tickle walking on top of a pool of custard. Are you suggesting I was wrong to use that as my foundation for all knowledge??
You're right. But in the interest of no stupid questions I thought I'd ask anyway, because...you know, what if?.
And thanks for the grammar lesson, I didn't ask for that one but I'll take it on board.
Thank you.
I think I saw a show 20 or so years ago that tried to debunk this and obviously either they messed up, or I wasn't paying attention.
(The show was called Brainiac).
I wish I could get into this, but it's just not for me. Seems super cool and everyone seems to be so enamored with it...but I just couldn't get it to stick.
I'm thinking that no, it doesn't. Which begs the question of why we do it? Is it a psychological thing?
Disney+ UK for certain. I'm not sure how it works out across other regions but I saw a Tiktok that said it was available worldwide.
Don't worry. If she's anything like her Father she'll be more interested in Eugene Debs than Donald Trump.
She used to. We've put a stop to YouTube though because she turns into a little demon after watching it.
I'm already half way there being a big NHL fan.
Maybe I could use that time to watch The West Wing? I've heard nothing but good things about it but...who's got the time.
Joking aside, the scene where Tywin schools Joff on how no true king needs to say that he's a king is peak GoT. Absolutely incredible writing, acting and production from all involved.
It's been a fun four years since I last had to have these around the house....but alas it's time to bring the potty out once more.
Hopefully he takes to it as well as his sister. I am not confident.
I've spent my time continuing through, and then finishing my first run on the new Suzerain DLC.
Had a good time with it but I think it's maybe not as.. fully thought out as the games OG campaign was. That said, I'm definitely going back to it at some point because I made some frankly awful decisions and it all went wrong very quickly.
I was a bit worried about how well the Steamdeck would handle it but I actually found playing with the Decks touchpads to be preferable to the games gamepad mode.
I just wish the Fury part of Bowsers Fury was a little less all consuming. The little open world they constructed was great, but I found the constant interruption from Bowser to be a little grating after a while.
Teach me!
I dunno, I could spend a good long while playing nothing but Football Manager if I didn't have to worry about being anywhere else.
Although not very handy for me because I live in the midlands. I didn't want to see it anyway. Nope. Looks like another evening of sitting on social media and regretting my life choices. Sigh.
I mean, is this in real time because I won't lie, I bet there's an awful lot of 'boring' mixed in with all the amazing moments.
For example, switching out the word 'boot' for 'trunk', or ditching the word 'rubbish' for 'garbage'.
This is something I've noticed my 6 year old does pretty regularly. We went through a stage where 'sweets' became 'candy', 'holiday' became 'vacation' and 'courgette' became 'zucchini'.
That last one didn't happen but if you're still reading you've got my respect, or as the Americans might say '...mad props'.
Morning all. It's Monday morning which can mean but one thing....What have you been playing this last week?
I think Farrell suffered a similar sort of thing as Brad Pitt did in the 90s in that he's super attractive...oh and he was in that bad Daredevil movie. Aside from that I can't remember him ever being the reason a movie was bad, and whenever I see him he's absolutely fantastic.
Won't lie. Having a second was never something I expected to happen. I'm not sure either of us were ready for it and it's absolutely gutted our sense of self, our relationship and our overall level of happiness.
That said we both absolutely love our two kids. We wouldn't be without them and they make our lives so much more......full. It's amazing to watch them play together, and to watch my eldest show genuine care for another human, and to watch my youngest learn and mimic his big sister.
It's not been easy. I think we'd both admit that we've struggled with the transition from 1 to 2 in ways we never did form 0 to 1, and our youngest has been significantly more challenging than our eldest was, but even with that, he's an absolute light in my world.
I watched that when it came out but the scene with the father and the tree is still firmly planted in my head.
Is it considered a staycation if you get a caravan for a week? Or is that below the Guardian?
This is something I've always struggled with and I think it's put my daughter in a spot where she's very reluctant to do anything by herself.
Don't get me wrong, she plays well with others and her younger brother, but when he's not available she basically just wants to play with me rather than going off on her own and playing by herself.
Now I don't mind, but I wouldn't mind a bit of...not playing time but also I'm worried it's going to affect her going down the line.
Thoughts?
Bingo!
How has your week been? How are the kids? What's going on and what have you got planned?
Welcome to Saturday Moanings, your safe place to vent, moan and otherwise just....have a good whine about the world, your household and everything in between.
Jurassic Park for me. I had an amazing JP jumper when I was like...maybe 6. It was far too big for me but I loved dinosaurs. Naturally this meant I wanted to watch the film because...well I'm 6 and it's got dinosaurs.
Ultimately I ended up watching it with my Mum and Dad. We got as far as the iconic T-Rex chase scene and I told them to turn it off. Didn't go near the film for another few years.
I've now got my own 6 year old. There's no scenario I could envisage where I even consider letting her watch a film as gory, tense and frightening as JP.
How are we feeling about this?
The game won't have a performance/quality mode at launch, but you will be allowed to tweak a little if you're playing on PC.
Now obviously it's not the worst thing in the world, and I'm sure many will be perfectly fine playing at 30, but I can't help but be disappointed by this news.
On a personal level I'll always go with the framerate over graphical fidelity; oftentimes the differences between the visuals in a quality mode just don't justify the loss of that smooth 60FPS, although I'm willing to grant that mileage may vary on that one.
I understand the constant want to improve visuals. They go a long way towards selling a game to it's audience, but I wish we'd gotten to a point where you could 1) have a conversation about the importance of FPS without appearing like a snob and 2) allow devs to prioritize 60FPS over graphical fidelity.
So yeah???
BAFTA has revealed the results of its landmark players’ poll to establish the Most Iconic Video Games Character of All Time. Launched to celebrate the 20th BAFTA Games Awards on Thursday 11 April, the poll was engaged with by over 4,000 players from all over the world.
What an.... interesting list. What are we thinking?
Personally I'm stunned Lara Croft made the top five and Agent 47 seems like an odd choice. Small sample size?

As a small child I was absolutely convinced that people in the olden days lived their day to day lives in black and white, and that they walked slightly faster than we did today (assuming a frame rate thing?).
I'm gonna put this one down to my understanding of how TV worked as a ten year old. Everything before colour TV was black and white... therefore everything was black and white. Makes perfect sense.
What about you?
Which makes me wonder. Dad's of Lemmy...what's the worst advice you've ever received about parenting?
Elden Ring was my first Fromsoft game, so I played it pretty straight; big slow sword, lots of health and a large damage output.
I'll most likely be starting a new run this evening, and I'm thinking of mixing it up and going down a Magic path for a change (if anyone could explain the difference between Magic and Faith that'd be grand).
Are you planning on doing a rebuild? And if so, how are you going to mix it up?
I've got two kids and it feels like at least two of the four of us has had a cold going back to mid-december.
I've had this cough thing for the last few days, figured I was over the worst of it...until I woke up this morning with a horrifically blocked nose; been sneezing and blowing my nose since. Will it ever end?
Monday! The long weekend is nearly over and if you're anything like our house you've eaten nothing but meat, potatoes and chocolate. And maybe, just maybe you've managed to find some time over the last seven days to play some videogames!
Let us know what you've been playing over the last seven days.
There's a good crossover between the best Rugby nations and the best Cricketing nations; I'm assuming this is down to good old fashioned British colonialism?
Which leads me to wonder why Rugby never gained the same level of support in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as it did in New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and Fiji.
Or am I totally wrong and the two things aren't remotely related?
Hey.
I'm Dan. A 36 year old father of two who doesn't have nearly as much time as he needs to do half the things he wishes he had the time to do.
