The man second in line to the presidency shared the details in a speech at a Christian nationalist gala Tuesday.
This was all over the place yesterday.
My question is, who the hell listens to this guy describe himself as a prophet and as the second coming of Moses and nods their head in agreement?I can't imagine many Christians agreeing with this.

that’s an insult to people who are in mental asylums. they have far more common decency and integrity than to support Trump’s policies. and in fact, I doubt Trump cares about mentally ill people. he’s the one proposing cutting welfare, he’s the one who gutted the only effort towards improving healthcare in the US — albeit it was poor and cowardly, but an effort nonetheless — and he is the one who promotes fascist ideology. and guess what fascism did to disabled people?

Johnson is in the mainstream of southern Christianity, just a little "religious" (which means "batshit, but in a way we're ok with").
If you haven't been in Evangelical culture, it's hard to believe how ordinary this guy is. Remember, the house Republicans picked him unanimously. He's a familiar, trusted type to them, as loony as that seems to non-evangelicals.
Guy is a closeted homosexal that hates himself so much that he wants to kill all gay people. We need to treat him like the threat he is and remove him from office.

Rolling Stone reports that Johnson thanked the organization for not letting journalists in. “I’ll tell you a secret,” he said, “since media is not here.” God had spoken to him throughout Republicans’ weekslong effort to find a new Speaker, Johnson said. Eventually, God revealed to Johnson that he would be a Moses-like figure leading the GOP and the country through a “Red Sea moment.”

He didn't just compare himself to Moses. it wasn't a metaphor. He literally thinks god has appointed him some mystical role to "save" America. Like, fuck off dude, we don't want to be "saved" by you. Fuck no. What goes on in that head of his has no relation to objective reality.
If, uh, he starts leading Christian lawmakers on a hike to cross the rio grande and wander around the Chihuahuan desert…. Mexico can keep them.
