Hey folks! Just microwaved my heat pad a little too long and the cherry pits ended up burning slightly. It was only a small portion of the bag but the smell is stuck to me and taking over the house! Any idea how to tame it?
EDIT: Thanks for the replies everyone! I've had the windows open already but the vinegar was just placed so we'll see. Bowl eating and bag swallowing will be my next attempt if all else fails.
I find a lot of hard to get stains and smells can be removed by scrubbing with a paste made from baking soda and water, then wiping with diluted vinegar, rinse and dry.
I would say that not putting a perfectly fine microwave into the garbage and spending the time needed to clean the microwave and it's removable components would be a better solution.
Sure, they're 'cheap' depending on who you are and what you buy, but they're surely not 'cheap' as to be entirely disposable and they're not exactly safe for landfills.
