Dealing with this right now. Have a pretty severe sinus infection (deviated septum and bone spurs) that my ENT is pushing surgery for- while google is full of people saying surgery should be a last resort. Now I’m not sure about anything!
It helped me a lot at first with relieving pressure in my sinuses but after about 5 years the benefits are not as strong. I would still recommend it if you have severe problems with headaches and sinus pressure. The recovery is quite painful for a few days. The meds they gave me barely touched the pain but I healed up pretty quickly
I feel you, my pain tolerance is low too. I'm not gonna lie, you'll be a miserable asshole for 3 days while you're healing. But if you're suffering chronic headaches it's worth it in my opinion. If it's not effecting you severely then I would probably just pound Mucinex and Claritin/Zyrtec/whatever. You do whatever you think is best, it's your health after all. I'm just trying to relate my experience to help inform your decision. It's hard to choose to go under the knife and I understand your hesitation to do so
No headaches, but a VERY bad brain fog, sinus pressure, overall achy body, and an inability to smell or taste anything. What’s weird is that I can breathe through my nose fairly easily, but the infection is so bad, it’s the only thing I can smell or taste.
