To get this image I put the movie poster from Forbidden Planet into Chat GPT and asked it to give me a prompt to recreate it. The prompt it gave me was: Create an image in the style of a vintage 1950s science fiction movie poster. It should feature a colossal robot with a detailed, colorful design, including visible gears and glowing eyes, against a backdrop of an alien landscape. The robot is gently holding a humanoid figure, who appears to be in a state of distress. The landscape has vibrant, exotic vegetation, futuristic architecture with domes and spires, and a sky filled with stars, planets, and a sleek, ringed spacecraft. The color palette should be rich and evocative of the era's sci-fi art, with a mix of ominous and wondrous tones.

And instead of create an image I changed it to: create a movie poster

I also removed the line about the space ship as clearly the original poster has no such thing in it.

I last asked it to make the poster warn out like it's seen too many summers, the background more flat with a teal color and I got my final image/submission at the top.

My first submission. I wanted to recreate a Jetsons kinda look of the future, using the colour patterns and designs popular in the 40s.

I don't have the exact prompt because the chat encountered an error but I started by asking Bing to imagine it was born in the 1920s and grew up reading SciFi mags. I asked what it would imagine the future would look like in 20-40 years and if it could draw it as if they grew up to be an illustrator.

This took some direction to get it from being nazis and boring grey aliens

He had just finished his morning coffee and was ready to start his project: designing a new rocket engine for the next lunar mission. He works with his lovely secretary, Alice. She is an atomic-powered robot with a feminine voice and a pleasant face, but her body is made of metal and wires.

Then I prompted to generate a picture based on the story.
