Connor Gagnon, a scout sniper with 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, engages a target with an M40A6 Sniper Rifle during an urban sniper course hosted by Expeditionary Operations Training Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, May 12, 2023. The urban sniper course is designed to train designated personnel in advanced sniper marksmanship at known and unknown distances during daylight, lowlight, and darkness with the M40 series Sniper Rifle and M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System.
