Shortsowles, administrative clerk with G-1, Marine Forces Reserve, begins Security Augmentation Force training with oleoresin capsicum spray at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Jan. 25, 2019. OC spray is mainly used in crowd control, riot control, and to disrupt an enemy at close range and causes the enemy to suffer from hyperventilation, dry eyes, burning of skin, swelling of mucus membranes, and potential increase in blood pressure.
