Maybe that works on a M1/M2-series processor, where the ultrawide bus means all ram works as fast as typical memory, but I wouldn’t want to even consider this on Intel.

1 0 ReplyThis is due to shared memory being counted for every process sharing it though, I think. If 20 processes share 1GB of memory, that is only 1 GB of memory, but macOS might report it as 20GB.
