Peaches come from a can
Driving up 85 North through SC, all you see are signs for stands selling fireworks and peaches.
And Washington State produces more potatoes than Idaho.
And Wisconsin has more lakes than Minnesota.
Wisconsin counts large puddles as lakes. If they used the same criteria as Minnesota, they’d have significant fewer than Minnesota.
But I have no holes to poke in your potato statement. Fuck Idaho.
I'd be more on board with your lake theory if Minnesota has more lakes if using Wisconsin 's criteria. Otherwise whoever has the largest lakes can just change the definition of lake to weed out everyone else. As far as I know, a lake is simply a body of water surrounded by land. Ponds are just small lakes. Some seas are just large lakes.
Being from Georgia I've always said we should've been the peanut state.
Georgia used to be the "Goober State" which is a nickname for peanuts. Then it was renamed after all the roads with Peach in theie names.
There are a lot of goobers in Georgia, though. Many under that gold dome.
And Maryland’s famous blue crabs aren’t from Maryland anymore.
