Burnley reach agreement with Ajax to sign Daramy on loan

Burnley have reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Mohamed Daramy on loan with an obligation to buy the attacker.

The proposed deal is worth in the region of €15million (£12.9; $16.5m) plus bonuses and a sell-on clause.

Personal terms between the 21-year-old and the Premier League club still need to be agreed and there is also interest in Daramy from France.

Daramy spent last season on loan at Copenhagen — from who he joined Ajax in 2021 — scoring eight goals in 28 league games.

He has played seven times for Denmark and won three Danish titles and one Dutch title in 2021-22.
